Flower Friday

Happy Friday!  Today’s bouquet is totally me.  Creamy white florals with painted black succulents (love!) and seeded eucalyptus give this bouquet definite elegant and regal appeal.  Gorgeous right?

Lace Wedding Dress Love

I love lace. It’s soft, timeless, and oh so elegant. As I start to begin my search for the perfect dress, I wanted to share another one of my favorite gowns with you (here’s the first). Ivanka Trump, socialite, Vice President of The Trump Organization, and of course the daughter of billionaire Donald Trump, wore a stunning custom-made Vera Wang gown that I absolutely love. New York fashion critic Cathy Horyn said it best when she wrote, “we’re so used to seeing brides in strapless dresses that Ms. Trump’s gown made a fresh statement.” The dress, inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding gown, is truly a classic!

Flower Friday’s!

Happy Friday to all my readers!  Any fun plans for the weekend?  I’ll be attending my 5th wedding of the year on Sunday; my old roommate and dear high school friend, Katelyn, will be getting married at the beautiful Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa.  The place looks amazing!

I thought it would be fun to make Friday’s here on Live What You Love all about beautiful flowers, bouquets, and gardens.  Let’s start this new Friday tradition off with one of my favorite bouquets (and I’ve seen a lot of bouquets!).  This particular bouquet of roses has the most stunning colors … isn’t it gorgeous?

Starry Night

Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh is one of my all time favorite pieces of art.  The colors, the sky, and all the movement in the piece make it one of the most recognizable images in modern culture.  Janece of Every Elegant Detail was inspired by this painting and put together a wedding inspired shoot that is fabulous!  Just shows you that wedding inspiration really can come from anywhere 🙂

Feather Fun

Feathers have become a huge trend in fashion and also in weddings.  I’ve been a bit obsessed with feathers lately (hence the post), especially feather earrings, can’t get enough!  Feathers can even add flair to your hair; they’re easy to maintain and super fun.  In weddings they pop up in all kinds of ways, from bouquets to wedding table decor, hair accessories, and wedding dresses.

Love the feathers in these bridesmaid bouquets …

Makes you want a small feather accent here or there doesn’t it?  Great little decoration for a wedding if I do say so myself 🙂

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

When you ask your friends to be bridesmaids, not only are you asking them to stand by you on your wedding day, you’re also asking them to help out with the entire process leading up to the big day.  Being a bridesmaid is an important job 🙂

Like many brides, I was looking for the perfect way to ask my sisters and closest girls to be bridesmaids.  I came across these darling cards on etsy, made by MD Cards & Gifts, and I’m really happy how they turned out.  They have an assortment of different cards, including a “Will You Be My Maid of Honor” card, and I was able to customize the colors to match my wedding theme.  So excited to have Tash, Jessica, Amanda, Adrienne, Emilia, and Christina stand with me on the best day of my life!

Thanks for the great shots mom!

Hope everyone has a great week and thanks for reading ♥

Cupcake Topping Bar

Yep, you read that right … a cupcake topping bar!!! When I found this post on Green Wedding Shoes I couldn’t believe my eyes and had to share this one on the blog!  The idea came from Enjoy Cupcakes, a darling cupcake shop that is also portable making it’s way to weddings and parties in a restored vintage trailer!  You can see a picture of it on their website, too cute!

The shoot had a fall, rustic theme to it, perfect for the fall season that is quickly approaching!  This idea is fabulous for weddings but can also be used at any party or special occasion.

Cupcakes were frosted with just a ring of frosting in order to leave room for the toppings to be placed in the middle.

Vintage syrup dispensers were filled with home-made sauces and syrups!

They used hallowed out mini pumpkins and filled them with various cupcake toppings (what a smart idea!).

How good do these look?

I’m completely in love with this idea – make your own personalized cupcake!  It’s so easy and fun!  Maybe not for my wedding in particular but for parties!  I’m so glad I came across this one, thanks Green Wedding Shoes!

Farewell Summer!

Good afternoon!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous Labor Day and enjoying the “unofficial end of summer”.  I am very excited that summer is over (sorry, not a fan of the heat) and can’t wait to bring out the sweaters, hot chocolate, and snowboard!  Wanted to leave you guys with this pretty little inspiration board to say goodbye to summer; have a great rest of your holiday!

Succulents Please!!!

Succulents are some of the easiest plants to grow.  They require little attention and make for the cutest arrangements in your home or garden.  I’ve become obsessed with these little plants lately and they’re becoming a huge trend in the wedding industry.  There are so many darling uses for this fun desert-like plant in weddings, from invitation decor to place card settings, and my favorite – succulent bouquets.  I recently picked up a pot of succulents from Trader Joe’s and they’re the perfect center piece for my kitchen table.  Here are some of my favorite succulent details … enjoy!
