2012 is almost here!

New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and I can’t help but love all the fun, glittery inspiration that I’m seeing around the web.  Not sure what I’ll be doing when the clock strikes 12, but I do know that 2012 will be a great year … I’m getting married!

What are your plans to ring in 2012?  Here’s some fun New Year’s inspiration …

I love these hanging glittered ornaments, strung up by tulle and grey fabric.  They make the perfect New Year’s decoration!  How cute these would be in a holiday wedding.

Kraft Paper Gift Wrap

Christmas is only 3 days away and I’m a bit behind on my Christmas wrapping.  I’ve seen kraft paper before, but never really noticed how pretty and fun it can look.  It’s definitely a different touch to wrapping then the normal patterned Christmas paper we see every year.  Wrapping with kraft paper, ribbons, and other additions like fabric and lace, give gifts a more handmade feel.  Here’s a few of my favorite examples of kraft paper presents.  Not sure I’ll be able to recreate these this year (no time!), but there’s always next!  Tweak the embellishments a tad and these would be perfect for bridal shower gifts and even wedding party favors.  Love them!

DIY Clay Lollipop Ornaments from Creature Comforts

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a great weekend and finished up on all their Christmas shopping.  I still have a little bit more to do but almost there!  I wanted to share with you guys the cutest DIY Christmas project that I found on the fabulous Creature Comforts blog last week.  They are lollipop ornaments and actually really easy to make thanks to the step by step instructions provided by Ez Pudewa of Creature Comforts.  You’ll need around 8 different supplies, most of which I found at Michael’s.  I made 6 of them for my good friends for our Christmas party last Friday and I’m really happy how they turned out!  Take a look!

Want to make your own?  Check out Creature Comforts post here for details.  They make really cute gift toppers as well!

Hope everyone has a great rest of their day and week.  Busy next few weeks ahead with the holidays and work but I’ll try to keep the posts coming!

The last name of the couple is Faw … too cute!

Rainy Day Weddings

It’s cold and wet out there and I’m not complaining!  I’m a big fan of the rain, particularly when I can be safe at home enjoying it.  Rain on the wedding day?  Not always the best thing, but it sure makes for some great photo ops!  Here’s some of my favorite rainy day wedding shots …

Wedding Dress Sash

The wedding dress appointments have begun and I’ve come across one detail that I really love – dress sashes! I’ve seen them in plenty of pictures and on numerous brides and never thought much about it until I tried one on for myself … and loved it! The sash adds a personal touch to your wedding gown and also that pop of color. In my case, it would be black which would also match my shoes and bridesmaid dresses 🙂 Flowers, pins, and brooches are always fun too!

Check out these beautiful gowns and dress sashes, don’t you love them?
