Flower Friday

Happy Friday!  It’s my first Friday off in awhile and I’m getting some things ready for my sister’s baby shower next month and hanging with my little pup Soph.

About 3 weeks ago, my mom gave me a HUGE amount of hydrangeas from her garden and they’re still going strong.  I have about 5 bouquets around the house that are just beautiful!

I love how long hydrangeas last in vases!

Have a fabulous weekend friends!

A New Look for Live What You Love

Good morning friends!  I hope you all had a great weekend and a good day Sunday celebrating with dad!

I thought it was about time for an updated header picture from the wedding as well as a new background.  Natalie did an amazing job putting together the sweetheart table with beautiful deep red freedom roses, white hydrangeas, and red peonies.  Along with the regular votives, I had a few Z Gallerie votives that went perfectly with the overall look.  I love everything about this table.

So, what do you think of the new layout?

Have a great week, see you back here soon!

Ceremony Floral Arrangements

Hello friends!  Hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend!  I wanted to share with you our gorgeous ceremony altar flowers from Natalie Galasso Designs.  I started out with an inspiration picture like this one:

I knew I wanted some kind of black urn to hold the flowers, all red with possibly some touches of white florals.

We couldn’t have been happier with how they came out!  These beauties were taken into the reception once the ceremony was over.

Isn’t my husband cute?  Oops, back to the flowers.  Black footed urns were composed of deep red roses, peonies, dahlias, mokara orchids, amaranthus, and white hydrangeas.  I love how the colors just popped!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Wedding Menu Detail

Good morning!  I can’t believe it’s already June and the official first day of summer is quickly approaching!  It has been 7 months since our wedding, but who’s counting?

When I first began doing my research on menus for our wedding, I was contemplating not having a paper menu at all but instead making a large chalkboard menu, similar to this.  As much as I love that, I realized it might be more practical for each guest to have a menu in front of them.  We chose to do paper menus that had the same theme as our invitations and place cards.

Everything matched and I was happy with that!  The menus were pretty, but I felt like they needed a little something extra.  That’s where the bling came in.  I purchased these at Hobby Lobby on sale, and they worked perfectly!  Here’s the end result:

I think even that simple little red rhinestone made the menus that much better and completed our black, white, and red theme.  And I had fun putting them together 🙂

Have a fabulous day!
