Sneak Peek: My Wedding Dress

One of the most important decisions a bride will make during the planning process is choosing her wedding dress.  All eyes are on you, after all!  I had so many ideas on what I wanted my dress to look like, but once I put on “the one”, I just knew.  I picked a Mori Lee gown from Mary Me Bridal, with ruffled organza and a Tara Lauren sash with beaded detailing.  In the link to the gown, you’ll notice that the dress came with a removable flower which I did not use.  I think the black sash was the perfect detail to complete my look… what do you think?  Pretty amazing right?!  I loved my dress!  And special thanks to my Grandma for that adorable hanger!

There’s a lot more wedding dress pictures where that came from… stay tuned!

Have a great rest of your day!

Wooden Cake Toppers

Who doesn’t love a good wedding cake, especially when it’s topped with cute little wood figures of the bride and groom?  These kind of cake toppers are popping up in more weddings these days and I love seeing it. You can find a great variety of these darlings over on Etsy here.  I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites, enjoy!

Our Hawaiian Honeymoon in Maui

I know it’s been about 4 months since we honeymooned in Maui, but I miss it everyday!  It was probably the best vacation I’ve ever been on; Ryan and I had the time of our lives!  So, while I’m still patiently waiting for our wedding pictures to come back from the photographers, I wanted to share with you some shots from our island honeymoon.

Ryan and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Lahaina – it was truly an incredible place.  From the exotic birds, the beautiful landscape, and the breathtaking views, we were in awe from the moment we drove up.  The pool was something else, complete with a waterfall and swim up bar with tvs.  The resort also had its own private beach access which we used to watch the sunset almost every evening.  Horseback riding, snorkeling, and zip lining were only but a few activities we participated in during our stay.  I’d have to say a highlight of the whole trip would be our time spent in the resorts beautiful spa, Spa Moana.  We had a couples massage in beachside cabanas and then took in the relaxing views (see photo below) from our spa chairs… heaven!

I was day dreaming about being back here today… maybe for an anniversary surprise?!  We’ll see 😉

We stopped by The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua, only a few minutes away from our resort.  Their pool was amazing!IMG_0453-1

I felt like we were able to do so many activities and see so many things and still were able to enjoy relaxing and doing absolutely nothing.  I miss you Maui and hope we’ll be seeing you soon!

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Friday!  February has been a tough month, so I’m very happy to see the start of March and more imporantly my birthday month!

I always love seeing these anthropologie mugs and when they’re combined with tulips, ranunculus, anemones, and various other beautiful florals you really can’t go wrong!
