Floral Reception Decor

Hi guys, it’s me!  It’s been awhile since I’ve seen you all, sorry for the quietness here lately.  As usual, things have been busy!

One of my favorite details of our wedding would have to be our reception decor.  Flowers were a super important detail to me in our wedding and our floral designer Natalie blew me away with the set up.  We decided to go with two different table centerpiece looks – 8 tables with red roses, peonies, and dahlias in a black square vase and 8 tables of white hydrangea in black vases as well as tall pillars with floating candles.  The end result was so elegant and romantic!  We also added groupings of red and white votives to each table to include more candlelight.

Here’s a look at one of our centerpieces:

Our second centerpiece:

And there you have it, how gorgeous was the set up?  Ryan and I were so impressed, it was beautiful!  As far as table centerpieces go, don’t be afraid to mix it up a little bit!

Have a fabulous day!

♥,

Kris

Our Sweetheart Table

Hi friends!  Let’s get back into our wedding details because I know you all are dying to see our photos 😉

I knew that I wanted a separate table for Ryan and myself during the wedding with our bridal party scattered throughout our guests.  That way everyone could sit with someone they knew and have a great time at the reception.  Our sweetheart table decor was composed of black vases filled with red roses, peonies, and white hydrangea along with a handful of votives that provided delicate candlelight.  The black striped table cloths were a nice addition to the overall look.

Ribbon Decor

Good morning! Half way through the week and so far so good!

I’m loving ribbon designs in weddings right now! They add that fun, vibrant element to any special occasion. Whether it be chair embellishments, using them to hang your escort cards, or for dessert table backdrops, ribbons are colorful, playful, and a perfect wedding decor touch.

Wedding Details: Lounge Seating

Hello and Happy Monday!  I’m definitely dragging a bit today after being off from my full time job for 10 days!  But that’s ok since I have such pretty things to share with you!

I love the perfect lounge seating area in a wedding.  It’s a great place to make guests feels comfortable and provides a great area for everyone to gather and mingle.  Here’s just a few of my favorites …

Feather Fun

Feathers have become a huge trend in fashion and also in weddings.  I’ve been a bit obsessed with feathers lately (hence the post), especially feather earrings, can’t get enough!  Feathers can even add flair to your hair; they’re easy to maintain and super fun.  In weddings they pop up in all kinds of ways, from bouquets to wedding table decor, hair accessories, and wedding dresses.

Love the feathers in these bridesmaid bouquets …

Makes you want a small feather accent here or there doesn’t it?  Great little decoration for a wedding if I do say so myself 🙂

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Succulents Please!!!

Succulents are some of the easiest plants to grow.  They require little attention and make for the cutest arrangements in your home or garden.  I’ve become obsessed with these little plants lately and they’re becoming a huge trend in the wedding industry.  There are so many darling uses for this fun desert-like plant in weddings, from invitation decor to place card settings, and my favorite – succulent bouquets.  I recently picked up a pot of succulents from Trader Joe’s and they’re the perfect center piece for my kitchen table.  Here are some of my favorite succulent details … enjoy!

Keys to Your Heart

Hello and happy Thursday!  I came across some charming little vintage keys in a fun shop while on my trip to Colorado last week which inspired my post today 🙂

“Key to Happiness”, “Key to my Heart”, and “Key to Love” are phrases I’m sure you all have heard.  Keys certainly have a strong connection to love and hearts which make them a perfect theme for any vintage inspired wedding.  Skeleton keys bring a classic feel to any wedding and make for darling details all your guests will appreciate.  They also make the cutest escort cards!

Wedding Tents

One wedding detail that I’m just loving lately is wedding tents!  Set them up in a garden, park, outdoor venue and you’ll have a beautiful reception area that will protect guests from any kind of weather conditions that may arise.  Wedding tents with chandeliers?  Even better!

How absolutely stunning is that last shot?  I love it!

Here’s a guide from Red Velvet Occasions to figure out the size of tent you will need for the number of guests you have, very helpful!

Number of Guests |  Size of Tent (in square feet)
  50 | 650-750
100 | 1,300-1,500
150 | 1,950 – 2,250
200 | 2,600 – 3,000
250 | 3,250 – 3,750
300 | 3,900 – 4,500

Even though they can be a bit pricey, I looovvveee this look!
