Ceremony Floral Arrangements

Hello friends!  Hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend!  I wanted to share with you our gorgeous ceremony altar flowers from Natalie Galasso Designs.  I started out with an inspiration picture like this one:

I knew I wanted some kind of black urn to hold the flowers, all red with possibly some touches of white florals.

We couldn’t have been happier with how they came out!  These beauties were taken into the reception once the ceremony was over.

Isn’t my husband cute?  Oops, back to the flowers.  Black footed urns were composed of deep red roses, peonies, dahlias, mokara orchids, amaranthus, and white hydrangeas.  I love how the colors just popped!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Kris

Wedding Venue, Check!

Guess what?!  Our wedding venue and date are finally set in stone!  The deposit was made on Monday to secure the date of 11.2.12!  And the place is … Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa!  Ryan and I are really excited about picking out our venue.  Turnip Rose was actually the very 1st place we looked at, and we left feeling very impressed with the overall vibe of the place.  We went back to show my mom and wedding planner Liz, and my mom snapped some amazing shots which further reassured me that this is the right location for us!  I’m really looking forward to all the amazing photographs that will come from our special day 🙂

The Entrance!  Love that gate.

I love all the fountains …

The Grand Entrance!  Don’t you love the staircases?

Reception Area Entrance

The Reception Room, “Celebrations” is absolutely insane … this is just a tiny peak at it, it’s my favorite part of the whole place!  Can’t wait to see it all decorated in my colors 🙂

Small glimpse at the “getting ready” room, it’s super cute!

So many areas for fabulous photo opportunities!

Thanks for the great shots mom!  I would hire you if it wasn’t your daughter’s wedding 🙂

Ryan and I are very happy!  What do you all think of the place?  Fabulous, right?

Turnip Rose – Possible Wedding Venue #1

When I worked at Hoag Hospital a few years ago, I would pass this place every day on my way to work.  Located right on the edge of Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, Turnip Rose is an unique wedding venue with beautiful stairways and Spanish inspired buildings.  Ryan and I have an appointment to check it out on May 29th to see what it’s all about!  Isn’t it pretty?  I’ll keep you posted with my thoughts!

I love the ballroom with the ceiling lights, they look like stars.
Front of the venue … I love the iron gates!  (The black with red is very similar to the look that I’ll be going for.)
What do you all think?  I’d love to hear your input!  I think it has potential.  Have a great rest of your week!

Kris
