Treats from Sweet and Saucy

Good afternoon!  I wanted to share with you some of the adorable goodies that I picked up for my dad for Father’s Day from the Sweet and Saucy Shop.  With locations in Long Beach and Newport Coast, Sweet and Saucy Shop specializes in unique and stunning wedding cakes, desserts for every occasion, and a large supply of cake stands.  Not only are Melody’s desserts beautifully made, but they taste amazing as well!

Have a fabulous day!

Christmas Cake Pops

Hello and happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a great, long Thanksgiving weekend.  Christmas season is definitely in full swing and I’m loving all the decorations and DIY projects on the web.  One thing I need to try out is my cake pop maker that is sitting in my cupboard unopened!  I came across some really cute Christmas cake pops that I’m dying to make.  Hopefully this weekend I can put the maker to good use!

Peppers and Pollywogs

Aren’t they fun?  I gotta get going on these – great for holiday parties, bridal showers, even weddings!

Give Thanks!

I want to wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!  We have so much to be thankful for!  And I’m especially thankful for you, my readers!

Here’s some cute Thanksgiving treats and decor I love:

Any goodies you’ll be making for tomorrow?

How pretty is this Thanksgiving tabletop?  It’d be gorgeous for a fall wedding as well.

Have a great weekend and see you back on Monday!

Cupcake Topping Bar

Yep, you read that right … a cupcake topping bar!!! When I found this post on Green Wedding Shoes I couldn’t believe my eyes and had to share this one on the blog!  The idea came from Enjoy Cupcakes, a darling cupcake shop that is also portable making it’s way to weddings and parties in a restored vintage trailer!  You can see a picture of it on their website, too cute!

The shoot had a fall, rustic theme to it, perfect for the fall season that is quickly approaching!  This idea is fabulous for weddings but can also be used at any party or special occasion.

Cupcakes were frosted with just a ring of frosting in order to leave room for the toppings to be placed in the middle.

Vintage syrup dispensers were filled with home-made sauces and syrups!

They used hallowed out mini pumpkins and filled them with various cupcake toppings (what a smart idea!).

How good do these look?

I’m completely in love with this idea – make your own personalized cupcake!  It’s so easy and fun!  Maybe not for my wedding in particular but for parties!  I’m so glad I came across this one, thanks Green Wedding Shoes!

Cake Anyone?

Ok, I LOVE this!  But then again, when do I put something on my little blog that I don’t love?!  This is such a fun, fun, fun idea and you could do it for any type of celebration. Found on Strawberry Chic blog, this little party was dubbed “Let Them Eat Cake” – an all girl cake decorating party which included snacks, darling decor, and a cute little cake stand for the girls to take home!  I want to have a party like this of my own!

Too cute huh?  The little cakes were already pre-frosted with buttercream frosting, so the girls just had to concentrate on their cake decorating skills 🙂

I’ve been craving popsicles for the past couple of days and my brain is already in 4th of July weekend mode!  How good do these look?  Cool and refreshing!  Hope everyone has a great 4th and enjoy a popsicle!
